Elk Year 2026/2027 Elk Of the Month
April 2026 – William “Tim” Fernandez
Our Elk of the Month for April is William “Tim” Fernandez. Tim helps out in the kitchen every chance he gets – from cooking Sunday brunches to supporting the Monday Night Guest Chef meals. He does it all with pride and a smile. We can always count on him to step up, lead and assist whenever needed. He is truly a model Elk and embodies what Elkdom is all about.
May 2026 – Rachel Hunt
Our Elk of the Month for May at Newport Harbor is Rachel Hunt. Rachel is a familiar face behind the omelet station on Sundays and is always there to lend a hand during Monday night dinners and throughout the week around the lodge. Her reliability and willingness to help never go unnoticed – we can always count on her to step in whenever needed. Thank you Rachel, for your dedication and positive spirit!
June 2026 – Cathy Armstrong
Our Elk of the Month for June at Newport Harbor is Cathy Armstrong. Cathy, a Past First Lady, is always willing to step up and help wherever she is needed. From assisting with lodge events to sharing her experience and guidance, her dedication never goes unnoticed. Her knowledge and attention to detail are especially appreciated when it comes to organizing seating charts and helping events run smoothly. Cathy’s positive attitude, reliability and continued commitment to our lodge truly embody the spirit of Elkdom. Thank you, Cathy, for all your hard work, support and the many ways you help make Newport Harbor a better place for all of us.
July 2026 – Michelle Bleeker
Our July Elk of the Month is Michelle Bleeker. Michelle serves as both our Public Relations Chairman and Veterans Chairman, and her dedication to the lodge and our community truly makes a difference. She works tirelessly behind the scenes promoting our events, supporting our veterans, and helping ensure the Newport Harbor Elks continue to have a positive impact both inside and outside the lodge. Michelle’s passion, hard work, and willingness to step up whenever needed are greatly appreciated by all our members. Her commitment to service and helping others reflects the true spirit of Elkdom. Thank you, Michelle, for everything you do for our lodge, veterans, and our community. Congratulations on being selected as our July Elk of the Month!
August 2026 – Hadley Gaffney
Congratulations to Hadley Gaffney, our August Elk of the Month! Hadley is a dedicated volunteer who generously gives her time to assist with member interviews, helping ensure every prospective member receives a warm and welcoming introduction to Newport Harbor Elks Lodge. Her commitment and positive attitude make a meaningful difference to our Lodge and our membership. In addition to her volunteer service, Hadley is also a talented musician. Be sure to stop by and support her when she performs with her band at the Lodge on Saturday, August 8. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy some live music while celebrating one of our outstanding volunteers. Thanks you Hadley, for your dedication, enthusiasm, and all you do to make our Lodge a better place. Congratulations on being named our August Elk of the Month!
September 2026 – Angela Anderson
We are proud to recognize Angela Anderson as our September Elk of the Month! Angela is a three-time First Lady and continues to be an incredible asset to Newport Harbor Elks Lodge #1767. She currently serves as our Purple Pig Chairman and Lodge Activities Chairman, dedicating countless hours to supporting our Lodge and its programs. Much of Angela’s hard work happens behind the scenes. She helps create and manage our online payment and registration forms, assists with organizing Lodge activities, and plays an important role in planning many of the events our members enjoy throughout the year. When something needs to get done, Angela is always willing to step up and help make it happen. Her dedication, enthusiasm, and continued commitment to our Lodge are wonderful examples of what Elkdom is all about.
